FAQ

How much does it cost?
To join any dance classes you must be a member of NTNUI. The NTNUI membership is included in the Sit-membership or can be bought seperate. In addition you need to pay a NTNUI Dance fee of 600 kr (dance card). This is valid for the entire school year.

How do I buy the dance card?
The dance card can be purchased on our website once you have created an account/user. You will need to show the receipt (sent to your e-mail) and your NTNUI membership card to your dance instructor during one of the first classes. You will then be given a dance card, which will be proof of your membership. This dance card will give you entry to all our classes.

Where are the classes held?
The classes are held at Nyhavna, Skippergata 10 except for the showclass saturdays which is at Båtsmannsgata 4, third floor in Sal 1. You can find a description on how to find the studios here

What should I wear during class?
We recommend using shorts and a t-shirt or singlet. Please notice that you cannot wear any metal or jewelry that may damage the poles. You should not apply body lotion to your hands or legs the day before the class as it may reduce the grip.

Do I need to be strong, flexible or know how to dance to start?
Not at all! You will learn everything you need during the class so there is no need to be afraid of lacking strength or flexibility.

Quotes from our dancers:

“At poledance you can follow your own pace, and there is something for everybody. I remember being very nervous in the beginning, when I was sure I wasn’t going to be strong enough, or have enough balance, but it turned out my fears where unnecessary!”

“Hi! Just wanted to let you know, I thought pole was so fun I bought my own pole. This was honestly the best exercise I’ve ever tried!”
